My real estate journey may have seemed unlikely from my upbringing. Growing up, I was raised by a single mom and while we always had a roof over our heads, there were times we didn’t have heat, electricity, or much food in our fridge. Later I’d also become a single mom and out of necessity to provide, I decided to buy and renovate a duplex. At the time I couldn’t afford a home and was lent the money for the down payment and I certainly hadn’t remodeled anything before but I had the determination to figure it out.
Paycheck by paycheck, I bought materials to remodel the duplex and learned the processes along the way. Over a 9-year period, I was able to build up equity and save money from the rent I received. After that, I got married and we bought our first fixer-upper together — a 1950’s Craftsman. We bought it for 150k and in a year we were able to bring it back to its glory and sell it for $300k. We then went on to remodel and flip several more properties locally before taking the jump to buy and renovate apartments in other states.
25+ years later, I now have 17 doors on 9 properties. My experience has shown me the power of real estate and I’m happy to be able to help others with their goals through the various services I offer.
